The programme focuses on innovations for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and health system strengthening across Africa.

- The programme is mainly a training and innovation support programme (not a direct cash fellowship).
- Top participants/projects may later apply for AfOx Innovation Scholarships, which provide:

- Technical collaboration with Oxford experts
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be African innovators or teams developing health-related innovations
- Work on solutions in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or health systems
- Have ventures with legal presence (or planning to register)
- Not be large established companies, NGOs, or industrial research firms
- Submit innovation-focused application materials in English
The programme welcomes innovations such as:
- Diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics, and medical devices
- Solutions addressing NCDs, endemic diseases, or diagnostic gaps in Africa
