The Africa Oxford Initiative Health Innovation Programme (AfOx-HIP) 2026 is a multidisciplinary innovation and entrepreneurship training programme designed to support African innovators developing high-impact health solutions. It connects African innovators with expertise, mentorship, and tools from the University of Oxford to transform ideas into scalable solutions addressing Africa’s major health challenges.
The programme focuses on innovations for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and health system strengthening across Africa.

- Top participants/projects may later apply for AfOx Innovation Scholarships, which provide:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be African innovators or teams developing health-related innovations
- Work on solutions in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or health systems
- Have ventures with legal presence (or planning to register)
- Not be large established companies, NGOs, or industrial research firms
- Submit innovation-focused application materials in English
The programme welcomes innovations such as:
- Diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics, and medical devices
- Solutions addressing NCDs, endemic diseases, or diagnostic gaps in Africa
